Madarasappatinam fame Amy Jackson was in Chennai to be part of the audio launch of Deiva Thirumagan, directed by L Vijay.
Queried how she managed to get the offer, she says, 'Vijay recommended my name to Gautham for this film. We did a couple of screen tests and Gautham found me suitable for the role. I play a Malayali Christian in this yet-to be-titled venture in which I’m paired opposite Prateik.. Gautham is a perfectionist and I know he will shape my character according to the needs and tastes of the Bollywood audience.'
Asked whether she is doing any Tamil movie, she says, 'I haven’t gotten any good offers from Kollywood yet. But I’ve had the opportunity to work with the best of talents here and I hope I sign another film soon.'
She is in all smiles for she is playing the female lead in Goutham menon's Hindi remake of Vinnai Thaandi varuvaya.
