He's known for his heart-tugging love stories but Sanjay Leela Bhansali says he might direct an action film soon. "My actors, Hrithik (Roshan) and Shah Rukh (Khan), believe there's a lot of violence in my movies. It's in the way the camera comes towards them even in a dramatic or emotional sequence," he points out, adding that Shah Rukh believes he should venture into this genre soon.
"I haven't followed his suggestion yet but I just might in the neat future." Is Rowdy Rathore that Prabhudeva is directing for his banner, the first step in this direction? Sanjay concedes that he loves the 'dhishum dhishum' films from fight master Shetty's era. "And when I heard the story of the film Prabhu wanted to make with Akshay Kumar I loved it so much that I decided to produce it. I was the one who came up with the title and this surprises a lot of people because they imagine me to be this intense, temperamental, mysterious director. But I talk a lot and laugh a lot too," he chuckles.
His favourite action flick is Kung Fu Hustle: "I love the madness and the action that is so wonderfully-choreographed. But it must have been a difficult film to make," he muses.
