Mankatha is no gangster film

Venkat Prabhu has almost completed shooting of Mankatha, which happens to be Ajith's 50th film. Trisha plays his heroine.

Says Venkat Prabhu, ' Mankatha is a traditional card game played in the state by betting sums of money. Similarly, here too, it’s about different people trying to do something and how everything changes at a particular point. It is not a gangster film.'

Though he was tight lipped about the theme, sources say that it is about cricket betting during the IPL season. Ajith sports different get-ups and recently a major portion involving him and Trisha was shot in Mumbai.

Yuvan Shankar who completed scoring music for the movie is now busy with re-recording.
