Many insist that Sunidhi Chauhan's collaboration with Enrique Iglesias on the song 'Heartbeat...' is just a publicity gimmick by the Latino pop sensation.
But he insists they connected through record label Universal: "I'm happy to have worked with Sunidhi and hope my fans will love what they hear." Enrique has sold over half a million CDs in India, making him the highest-selling international artiste here.
His ninth album, Euphoria, featured the hit 'I like it...' with Pitbull. The duet with Sunidhi is in the Indian edition of the album, which includes the brand new club hit, 'Tonight I'm lovin' you...' featuring Ludacris. The international version has collaborations with Akon, Usher, Nicole Scherzinger and Lionel Richie, Enrique's idol. How did he agree to the duet with Sunidhi? "I fell in love with India during my 2004 tour. Ever since, I've wanted to do something here. When Universal brought this up, I had to do it," he says. "I'm dying to come back, hopefully in July as part of my world tour. If I do, I'll take a few days off."
