Up, close and personal with Shruti Haasan

Shruti Haasan’s Bollywood stints haven’t really taken the country by storm, but hey, she’s Kamal Haasan and Sarika’s daughter, so naturally, everyone’s curious about what she’s up to.

She’s formed a new band with guitarist Bruce Lee Mani (the girl’s a rock star as well, didn’t you know?) and has evenscored Unnaipol Oruvan, the Tamil version of A Wednesday that stars daddy Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal in the lead roles. Is more Bollywood on the cards? Yes, she says, there will be an announcement some time in June. But till then, her lips are sealed.
