Sonam turns down Tamil Dabangg!
Last year's Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg is being remade in Tamil and Telugu. While Sarah-Jane Dias who made her Hindi film debut in Game recently, is likely to play the female lead in the Telugu version opposite Pawan Kalyan, the Tamil version is still in limbo. The problem is finding a girl for southern star Simbu, who slips into Salman Khan's shoes, in the Tamil cop caper.
Rajnikanth returns to Bollywood!
Southern superstar Rajnikanth, after his Tamil Robot (2010) was dubbed in Hindi, has started filming Rana with Deepika Padukone in Chennai. But not many know that the actor will also be seen on the big screen in the near future with 'Shotgun' Shatrughan Sinha.
It's a full-on Hindi Bollywood movie. Except it was shot over a decade ago. The film is called Takraar.

Hunt on for fresh female lead in Dhoom 3
After casting Esha Deol and Aishwarya Rai as female leads in Dhoom and Dhoom 2, Yash Raj Films (YRF) is now on the lookout for a fresh face to play the female lead in the third instalment of the popular franchise.
Producer Aditya Chopra and director Vijay Krishna Acharya are keen to cast a totally new face to play the female lead in the movie, said a press statement from YRF.

The party was held on Monday (April 25, 2011) after the music release of Ready. Salman decided to have an impromptu bash at his pad that has been put up for him at Film City for the shooting of his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's Bodyguard. His Ready co-stars Asin and Zarine Khan immediately accompanied Salman.
Asin told a tabloid that Salman invited all the female actors from Ready. They all went up to his very comfortable and large pad with a view. It has a garden and it has a beautiful view outside. Salman makes a wonderful host. The ladies were all happy to be partying. Suddenly Salman remembered their husbands and invited them too.
Asin added that it was great fun even though she felt like the odd one out since she doesn't drink

I was surprised to know how many fans I have here in India, especially in North and South India. They love me so much! So, I decided to tour in Bangalore, Delhi and Gurgaon. I wish I could perform all over the country, but because of time issues, I can't. The next time I perform in India, it will be in the rest of the cities, for sure.

Metallica to play in India
Thrash pioneers Metallica are slated to play in India in October this year (2011), bassist Robert Trujillo has said in an interview with a leading magazine.
Trujillo, who joined the band after Jason Newsted and original bassist, the late Cliff Burton, said Metallica has plans to play across Europe this summer, including appearances in Italy, Germany, Sweden, England and France in July, then Brazil in September.
