Ricky Martin thought homosexuality is evil

Ricky Martin, the ‘Cup Of Life’ singer came out of the closet by posting an emotional message on his website where he admitted that it took him several years to be honest with his fans and himself owing to societal and career pressures.


Ricky Martin said that his image as a sex symbol and a crazy fan following amongst girls stopped him from revealing his sexuality. The ‘Maria’ singer, who has two sons – Matteo and Valentino – via a surrogate mother, accepted to have waited until he felt the time was right to reveal he is homosexual.

Reacting to people’s nonchalant response, he said that he knew that there were a lot of men and womenout there struggling with themselves to overcome the fear of societal rejection.
