I don’t think about censor board: Prakash Jha

Filmmaker Prakash Jha, 59, is not bothered if the sensitive subject of his upcoming film Aarakshan stirs a debate by the censors. “I never really think about the censor board.
I try to be concerned with my audience and the society, and since I’m prepared, I pray that everything goes well,” says the director.
“We are looking into caste-based reservation and what caused it. It is today’s story that shows where our education is heading. Commercialisation of education is spreading like a virus. Everyone looks at special packaging and specialisation now,” he adds. However, he says that the movie just documents the scenario without preaching. He says, “There is no solution to reservation in our film.” Though he has chosen a serious issues for his movie, he maintains that he won’t enter politics. “After last elections, I declared that I’ll not contest at all,” he says.
Rumours were rife that Jha’s favourite Ajay Devgn was to do Saif Ali Khan’s role in the film, but the filmmaker denies saying, “Ajay Devgn was never in talks. It was always Saif.” Aarakshan will be released on August 12.
