Monicka sings
a happy tune
Monicka is in joy for she had two films releasing last month Her films Muthukku Muthaga and Nanjupuram have hit the screens.
A: 'I just did what my director Rasu Madhuravan wanted me to do. As a lovelorn girl desperate to hold the hands of her lover, I had immense opportunity to prove my acting skills. I have been receiving accolades for my performance. It was a challenging role and hopefully I did it to my best'.
Q: About Nanjupuram?
A: In Nanjupuram, I played a tribal woman. It was a de-glamourised role. The whole unit was co-operative and gave me the courage to pass in flying colours doing the role. But still my movie Azhagi is still close to my heart. It was the movie that gave me an identity. I am yearning to do such sweet roles again.
Q: On her forthcoming films?
A: Agarathi is almost complete. Then there is an interesting film titled Varnam in which I play a school teacher. I am also part of a movie called called Naran besides a couple of Telugu and Kannada movies'.
Q: What kind of characters you want to do?
A: I want to do good roles and ensure that audience remember me as an actress who is dignified, elegant and poise'
