Preity Zinta who has been away from the entertainment industry for a long time now is all set to return with her debut TV show Guinness World Records-Ab India Todega on Colors. The dimpled actress will co-host the reality show with Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi 3winner Shabbir Ahluwalia. The show will have regular people display their talent and trying to make a place for themselves in the Guinness World Records.

Some of the records being attempted in the show are - Maximum over the shoulder cocktail flairs in a minute, Maximum dance spins in a minute, Maximum omlette flips in a minute and many more.

You have been away from films for over two years now. Was that a deliberate move?
Yes. I was away from the entertainment industry for two years because I wanted to focus on cricket and my IPL team. It was a new set up for me and I did not want to lose focus by taking up something else. My friends from the industry kept asking me about my return to films and now I have an answer - I am back and prepared to make a comeback in films.

So why choose TV for your comeback and why debut with Guinness World Records-Ab India Todega?

I got numerous offers for reality shows in the past but nothing excited me. I do not enjoy judging dance based shows because as I am not the number one dancer on the planet, so I can’t judge someone else. I will not take up such offers just for the money being offered to me. When I was offered Guinness World Records-Ab India Todega, I realized that I will be able to discover new things through this show and that excited me.
How would you describe your experience on this show?

It has been a fun experience but shooting for a TV show means long working hours (laughs).

How is this show different from other reality shows on TV?
Guinness World Records-Ab India Todega represents the underbelly of India. The participants on the show are not here for glamour or to be actors, they have come to display their unique talent.

Which has been your favourite record attempt?

It would be unfair to pick and choose. However, if I really had to choose then it would be the contestant who pulled a truck with her hair. It is incredible to see simple people perform such extraordinary tasks and when they do it for their country, it gives their act a special flavour.

Given a chance which record would you like to break?

I have not thought about the record I would want to break but I would like to attempt something outdoors rather than in a studio as that would be more fun. I want it to be something adventurous.

IPL is around the corner. Are you geared up for it?

I am very excited about the IPL. One of the reasons I accepted the show is that the shoot would end before the IPL began.
