A proud mentor is Balu Mahendra

It is a proud moment to see my students go on to make it big in filmdom, says veteran filmmaker Balu Mahendra. Speaking after releasing the audio of Avan Ivan starring Vishal and Arya, Balu Mahendra said, ' It is always a great feeling for a mentor to see his proteges go on and make a mark in their chosen profession.' 

On his part, Bala thanked Balu Mahendra and said his motivation and encouragement inspired him to achieve a lot. Talking about Avan Ivan, Bala said, 'all credit should go to Arya who brought Vishal on board, though I had initial apprehensions casting him.'

He also heaped laurels on Yuvan Shankar Raja for his brilliant score. Arya not just shared the screen with Vishal in Avan Ivan, but also appreciated him a lot.

'Vishal deserves all accolades. Playing a youth with a squint eye all through the movie is no easy task. Vishal took it as a challenge and he pulled it off.'

'Working with Bala was a delight. If Nan Kadavul was not enough for me, came Avan Ivan opportunity. It was a great experience', he adds.

On his part, Yuvan Shannkar Raja, said, 'Bala gave me enough liberty.  He gave me valid inputs and brought some engaging music'.

Vishal, G M Kumar, lyricist Na Muthukumar among others spoke on the occasion.
