Popular actor and Guiness record holding magician Alex died at a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday evening following a brief illness. He was 52 and is survived by his wife and two daughters.
According to his family sources, the actor had been suffering from an intestinal disorder and was admitted to the hospital for treatment on Saturday.
Alex had debuted in films with Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Valli. He he had acted in over 100 films, playing the role of villian in many.
Alex had etched his name in the Guinness Book of World Record as well as the Limca Book of Records for performing magic non-stop for 24 hours.
He was also the winner of Tamil Nadu government’s Kalaimamani and State awards
