Filmmaker Subhash Ghai launched the music of his forthcoming bilingual "Nouka Dubi" in a unique way - he launched it on a boat in the Ganges river.
Directed by National award winner Rituparno Ghosh, the film revolves around various emotions of the characters generated through unavoidable circumstances of misunderstandings. Since the backdrop is a river and sinking boat, the makers decided to launch the music in this way.
The thematic boat sailed via popular ghats of Kolkata like Princep Ghat, Babughat, Outram Ghat, Armenian Ghat and Ahiritola Ghat. There was another boat decorated with flowers and lights that followed it while playing the music of the film, composed by Sanjay Das and Rajnarayan Deb.
The Hindi version of film is called "Kashmakash" and both Bengali and Hindi versions will release May 20. The star cast of the film includes Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, Raima Sen and Riya Sen.
