Metallica: "We are coming in India!"

One of biggest metal rock band in the history of music, Metallica has trained its sight on India. The 'My Apocalypse' and 'Nothing Else Matters' hitmakers have confirmed that they will be performing in India in October at Gurgaon and Bengaluru.

The band will be playing as a part of F1 Rocks—the  music segment of the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix—held in Leisure Valley, Sector 29, Gurgaon, on October 28, 2011. On October 30, Metallica will play at the Bangalore Palace Ground, Main Palace, Bengaluru, as part of the Sonisphere Festival.

In a post on the official website, the band confirmed the news and added, "At this stage in the game, there are very few places in the world that we have not dragged our gear and crew to, so that makes this show announcement extra special . . . for the first time ever, we will be visiting India for two shows! It’s about time, wouldn’t you say?!"

In an interview with media, Metallica Bassist, Robert Trujillo, said, "That should be interesting; playing a place we never thought in our wildest dreams we'd [go] to play. It's an honor for all of us that we get to be a part of that whole music scene as a metal band sharing our music with fans in India at this incredible concert!"

All tickets are general admission and will go sale on Ticketgenie and Dnanetworks websites on May 4 at a time still to be announced.

So get ready for some head banging!
