Former Miss India Universe and actor Puja Gupta will soon be seen dressed only in vegetables. After the success of her Bollywood debut, FALTU, she is going all out to support PETA and promote vegetarianism.
In a novel move, PETA is going to organise a contest, where several design schools will present outfits made of vegetables for Puja. Each design will be published on a website and the one that garners the maximum votes will be what the actor will wear for the ad campaign.
"I have always been a vegetarian. I love animals, and associating myself with this brand is true to what I feel. I'm really looking forward to the campaign. It'll be interesting to see what they design using only vegetables," smiles Puja, who has recently been announced as PETA's brand ambassador.
Once the design is in place, the glamorous ad will be shot by celebrity lensman Atul Kasbekar. "It's great to be a brand ambassador for PETA. It is a proud association for me. I am really happy that I have attached myself to such an organisation, which not only promotes vegetarianism, but also love for animals," reiterates the actor.
In the past, Puja has represented India in Donald Trump's Miss Universe pageant in Mexico and made it to the top ten, beating contestants from 86 countries. She has also worked on spreading awareness about AIDS with international celebrities like actor Ashley Judd and musician Bono.
